OCTOBER WEDNESDAYS | 12-1:30pm

$120.00

OCTOBER 7, 14, 21, 28 | noon - 1:30pm

Students ages 4 and up can join us for a month of process art projects & steam-based learning. We’re focusing on layering, watercolor, mixed media, & optical illusions. We’ll also study art by Henri Matisse & Louise Nevelson.

Drop off begins at 4:25 and pick up is at 6:00pm. A late fee will be charged for late pick-up. Snacks are provided! Students must bring their own water bottle each day!

Wednesday, October 7: We’re creating matisse inspired jugs with hand-drawn, watercolor flowers. This is a great project for boys and girls. Students will learn about abstract art, work on fine-motor skills, experience how to make intentional choices with an open imagination, and gain new skills in using watercolor.

Wednesday, October 14: We’re weaving, layering, & adding watercolor wonders to unique art pieces! Students will explore patterns, learn new techniques, and discover how different mediums add depth and visual interest.

Wednesday, October 21: We’ll make a mixed media project out of a variety of material. Magazines, bottle caps, jewels – you name it! Students will gain experience with layering, texture, pattern, & color. They will be encouraged to choose a color scheme such as monochromatic, warm & cool tones, or other ideas they may have. These objectives will help teach how color can be used to express emotions.

Wednesday, October 26: We’re diving into a world of optical illusions! Students will explore how repetition and perspective can make a flat image appear three-dimensional, while experimenting with color and value to strengthen the illusion.
